Dedication
For parents who wish to dedicate their children to God, Rev. Bob offers a dedication ceremony. This ceremony is a promise to raise the child as a Christian, and baptism can be offered once the child has reached an age of understanding. Rev. Bob believe that dedication is an important step in the spiritual journey of a child and their family. It serves as a reminder to parents of their responsibility to raise their child in a way that honors God and to teach them about the love and grace of Jesus Christ. It is also an opportunity for the church community to come together and support the family in their commitment to raise their child in the faith.
During the ceremony, parents will stand before God and their family & friends to make a commitment to raise their child in a way that honors God. The ceremony usually involves the parents and the child being prayed for by Rev. Bob. This ceremony is not the same as baptism, as it is not a sacrament, but rather a public expression of the parents’ desire to raise their child in the faith.
Baptism
Baptism is an important step in the Christian faith, symbolizing a person’s decision to turn their life over to God and to be born again in Christ. It represents the washing away of one’s sins and the resurrection to new life in Christ. It is a powerful symbol of faith and commitment, and it is a way for believers to publicly declare their faith and their desire to follow Jesus Christ. The baptism services are available for adults, teenagers, and children who have made a conscious decision to turn their lives over to God and accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. During our Believer’s Baptism service, individuals are fully immersed in water (if a pool or lake is available), symbolizing the washing away of their sins and their resurrection to a new life in Christ. We believe that baptism is an essential part of the process of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, as it symbolizes the washing away of sins and the start of a new life in Him.
